A year on he knows that the stories didn't prepare him for the half of it.

However, because I like to ~~make things more difficult than they have to be~~ challenge myself, I got to thinking what would happen if the "man" in the story were Sherlock. But how could that possibly work? Sherlock is never patient.

Or is he?

There may, in fact, be one thing that he's been extremely patient about waiting for. Until now.
