For those who recall the flashdrive in Revisionist, this story can fit in after that one as part of the Other Experiments series, which begins with Sometimes.

Excerpt: “The folks from the theatre were more than willing to help; they’re still grateful about The Navel Treatment case. Well, of course, you know that,” I continued, heading towards the fridge. I reached in and seized a water bottle. “They said we could have kept the hats. Best we didn't though. That must have been the best-documented petty theft in history.”

Author's note: This was written for the Let's Write Sherlock Challenge 2: Choose a favorite fairy tale and rewrite it with characters from Sherlock.  I chose the English fairytale Cap O' Rushes. I've included two versions of this tale here and here.  Originally posted under the title "Cap O' Rushes."

Summary: Sherlock is thrown out of his home by his brother, Lord Mycroft Holmes. Alone and friendless, he does his best to harden his heart against any further entanglements. But even he couldn't foresee the arrival of Captain John Hamish Watson.
