Hey, everyone. I am not really able to give this community the time that I should as a mod for reasons that I won't go into. My co-mod is only there to help me out when I'm not online, but she's also been unable to devote any time to it these days. So here's the thing, I'm looking for someone to take over as owner and mod of 221b_baker_str. I would prefer to give it to someone who is involved in Sherlock or Sherlock Holmes fandom rather than someone who isn't really, and I would like the purpose of the community to remain the same, but otherwise it's pretty much a first come, first served. If you don't get it, please don't be upset with me about it. Perhaps you can discuss it with whoever does and work something out.

Note: I don't have constant internet access and I'm not online--I use the connection at my library right now--so if it takes me a couple of days to get back to you about it, I'm not being rude and please don't panic.

Really just gauging the level of interest here. Would you guys be interested in doing a fic fest?

I'm thinking something sort of casual. People give prompts, people claim prompts, there's a minimum word count and a certain amount of time to do it in and you post by that date.

If there's no interest in doing it though, then I don't want to go to the trouble of setting it up.

Wow, I had no idea this had happened because I was away for the holidays without internet. If everyone is already aware of this, be patient, we'll return cabin pressure in a moment but OMG 221b_baker_str won a thing! We were nominated for the Mummy Awards (I have no idea what that is but yay!) over at The Baker Street Supper Club for Most Promising New Community 2010 and we WON!

Isn't that awesome? I think that's awesome.
