Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters. I wish I did, but I don't. They all belong to the BBC and Steven Moffat, to varying degrees. Sherlock also belongs to Mark Gatiss. The original Sherlock Holmes characters belong to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Spoilers: Set post-“The Reichenbach Fall” for Sherlock, post-“Children of Earth” for Torchwood, and set post season 7 for Doctor Who (so there will be spoilers for upcoming season 7 episodes later in the series)

Summary: John Watson was just floating along in his life after Sherlock’s death, but Jack Harkness finds him and offers him the chance to give his life meaning again.

wholockians but this idea struck and while I managed to get this all into one part I’m afraid it’s going to be another series (“A New Life,” located at anewlife_fic)
