We've never done one of these before and it just occurred to me the other day that maybe we should and it would be fun. So the purpose of this is to meet people with the same or similar interests. In this case, hopefully Sherlock is one of those :D

I can totally support those ships. ::nods:: And Martha deserves more love! Of Ten's companions she and Donna are tied for favorite.

I may have seen you at SD Comic Con before. I don't cosplay (want to really badly as someone from Bleach) but I always admire all the cosplayers I see. I didn't actually go in the con last year (hung out at the Gaslamp Quarter all day interviewing people for a website), but I usually go every year. Even if I don't get a ticket this year I'm still going to go and do interviews outside the con.

Well, so far I've only gone last year, because before summer 10 I lived in NY and didn't know I'd be moving out here far enough in advance to get an SDCC ticket. But I've been to Comikaze and Wondercon last year, too, and I've got some spectacular plans in store for this year :-)

That sounds so cool. I'm going to try and talk the person who runs the website I write for to get me a press pass, if she's able. I need to write up some articles for her (one on Sherlock and another on the new companion for Doctor Who) to convince her.

Maybe? I only went last year, but I was wearing a femme!Draco outfit one day and a long green dress another day. I'm totally into cosplay - it started freshman year in college when I didn't really know about it, but I wore Jedi robes to class one random day and a cape on another random day just because I realized that I could, and since then I will find any and every excuse to dress up. I officially blame it on my parents buying into the whole Halloween-is-of-the-devil-so-no-trick-or-treating thing when I was younger and me now having to make up for my lost childhood Halloweens ;-)

And my decision to friend you may have been slightly influenced by the fact that I was looking at your blog and saw a post with Superchick lyrics for the title. That brings back so many memories!

OMG I DID SEE YOU (or at least I'm pretty sure I did)! I was having a conversation with someone about cosplay and they pointed you out and said that the Femme!Draco cosplay was one of the ones they wished they'd thought of. Didn't get a super good look but I liked what I saw.

Yay! I play "Anthem" all the time. It's one of my absolute favorite songs to listen to when I write female-centric fics. I had it and a few other songs on repeatfor an Amy Pond-centric Wholock fic I was writing when I made that post.
